OVERVIEW: The Bridgestone Potenza RE050A I RFT is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.This tire has great summer weather traction, in other words it grips the road excellently in wet and dry weather thanks to the asymmetric tread design. The model is not recommended for use in winter conditions, as the tire compound loses its road gripping ability in the colder months. The tire’s circumferential and lateral grooves disperse water from under the footprint and resist dangerous hydroplaning situations.The tire was manufactured using run flat technology. The model’s reinforced sidewalls are about to temporarily support the weight of the passengers and the vehicle after the loss of air pressure. After a puncture or other damage which causes air pressure loss, the tire can be driven on for 50 miles and up to 50 mph. This allows the driver to arrive at a safe destination where they can change or repair the tire. Run flat tires are made for vehicles that have no space for spare tires. Run flat tires cannot be mixed with regular tires, as run flat tires are heavier.
